Track Your Group!Want to your group?  Click the icon to the right to jump to the tracking page where you can link to each group's page or an aggregate page with all of the groups.

Each week this summer, one or more of our outfitting groups will hit the trail toting SPOT GPS locators that will regularly broadcast each groups position in almost real time and plots each position on a special tracking page that uses Google Maps.  The devices are also equipped with buttons that allow the user to send an "OK" message, a "HELP" message to our home office in to let us know their status.

In an emergency, the user is able to hit the "911" button... it sends a distress signal and their exact GPS coordinates to local search and rescue for quick evacuation.

Safety.  Peace of mind.  Staying connected.

Welcome to PilgrimageGrowing and equipping leaders... That's what we've been doing (officially) since 1984, though a single wilderness event in 1972 began to shape the learning and philosophy that is now Pilgrimage.

A quarter century down the road from our birth as an organization, Pilgrimage continues to pioneer its brand of experience-based education through partnerships with college and universities and our Wilderness Institute for Leadership Development (W.I.L.D.), both designed to grow leaders ready to impact their world.

We also develop and produce resources like our Wilderness Outfitting program and OnTrack Devotions to equip them with tools to leverage toward that same end.

Take a look around. We would love the opportunity to learn with you.

Wilderness Institute for Leadership DevelopmentA multi-level leadership institute, W.I.L.D was initially established in 1984 to train youth pastors how to use the wilderness as a tool to grow their students. We quickly learned the transferability of the curriculum made it a powerful tool for developing leadership across disciplines. From ministry professionals to business leaders, thousands of W.I.L.D alumni are spread across the globe investing the dynamic tool set gained from W.I.L.D. into their organizations, their families and their own aggressive learning processes.

In the early 1990s, Pilgrimage began partnering with colleges and universities to offer college and graduate classes in the context of W.I.L.D, exploding both the potential value of W.I.L.D to the enrollee and focusing the curriculum into a more structured and intentional format.

With 4 defined Levels of experience-based learning and intentional leadership, W.I.L.D grows leaders from the inside out... teaching them to leverage their own aggressive learning process into opportunities to impact the world around them by investing in others, with or without a traditional role.

Wilderness Outfitting ProgramThe longest-standing tool in our toolbox, the Wilderness Outfitting program presents an opportunity for the intentional leader to gain abnormal access to real connection with those they lead. Whether the leader is a youth pastor, a professor/teacher, a business team leader or a parent, the wilderness can be leveraged into significant access to real relationships and real conversations that defy other environments... and it transfers back home beautifully.

Our outfitting packages equip you with all of the wilderness-specific gear, food and resources you need to run a successful wilderness experience. That resource set is welded to complete access to our four decades of experience designing and running intentional outdoor events.

Any outfitter can toss gear at you and kick you into the woods. We are passionate about launching you into an event that will provide a stage for God to transform you and your people. We would love to invest with you toward that end...

OnTrack DevotionsOTD is a tool designed to build the skill and discipline of effective daily Bible Study authored by Dwight E. Peterson, our very own W.I.L.D. Director. From the time Pilgrimage absorbed the publishing and distribution of the OTD Student Edition in mid-2008, the project has exploded over 900% and continues to grow on that trend line. Why? The tool works.

Rather than presenting preset conclusions, the inductive study method of OTD walks the user through a process of discovery, unlocking the mystery of the Word by training them through repetition and modeling, how to ask good questions. Students are set free from dependence on media and other inputs that externally define for them what life is about and who God is. The Word becomes a real conversation with God.

OnTrack focuses on skill development, engaging 4 Levels of student skill in one tool. The Student Edition is effective for implementation across full student ministries, in a small group format, as a curriculum piece in a Bible class or as an individual study tool. A Military Edition is also available.
